CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the cannabis plant. It’s one of two major cannabinoids found in cannabis and just part of what makes the “whole plant” experience. Unlike its cousin tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), it is not psychoactive.
What is hemp flower? What do I do with it?
Hemp is a type of cannabis that contains less than 0.3% delta9-THC. What that means is that unlike marijuana that can contain high levels of THC (what makes you high), hemp flower has below that legal limit. This allows you to use hemp flower just as you would any other buds. You can use it anyway you like! Smoke it, vape it, infuse it with butter and make some CBD pasta!! The great thing about whole plant extracts is that you get the full spectrum experience.
Will CBD flower show up on a drug test?
We cannot guarantee that you will pass a drug test after consuming VeryGoodCBD. While all of our CBD flower products are Federally legal, they still do contain small trace amounts of THC allowed by law. Not every drug test is the same, so while some may pass, others may not. Play it safe, not sorry.
Is CBD hemp flower legal?
Our hemp flower is 100% federally legal. Thanks to the 2018 farm bill, hemp is federally legalized in the United States. It might be confusing because marijuana and hemp are both part of the cannabis family. While they share a lot of characteristics, hemp is defined legally as a cannabis plant containing no more than 0.3% delta-9 THC.
What is the difference between cannabis and hemp?
Marijuana and hemp come from the same family. That is why they look and smell similar. The biggest difference is that hemp does not contain more than 0.3% THC. You might see marijuana that is rich in CBD but that is not hemp. These CBD rich marijuana strains are higher in THC and produce psychoactive effects while hemp does not.
Why flower? Is it better than CBD oil?
Flower is the most natural form of hemp available. Generally speaking, in order to make CBD oil, processors will have to extract different cannabinoids and compounds from the hemp flower. During the extraction process, not only are compounds like terpenes and flavonoids destroyed, but different chemicals will have to be used in order to create the CBD “oil” liquid. Given the processing procedures, we always recommend to stick to the natural form of CBD, the way mother nature intended it to be as a whole plant experience.
